Level 3 / Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Wallasey, Wirral
School Type: Mainstream Secondary School
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Pay: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Are you a skilled and enthusiastic Level 3 or Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge in a supportive and vibrant secondary school?

A forward-thinking and high achieving mainstream secondary school in Wallasey is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on young people’s education and development in a dynamic learning environment.

The Role:

  • Provide in-class support across a range of subjects and year groups
  • Work closely with teaching staff to plan and deliver targeted interventions
  • Support students with additional needs to access the curriculum
  • Lead small group activities and, if HLTA qualified, cover lessons when required
  • Build positive, professional relationships with students, staff and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (HLTA status highly desirable)
  • Experience working in a secondary school or similar setting
  • A strong understanding of how to support pupils with diverse learning needs
  • Confidence in supporting the delivery of the national curriculum
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and behaviour management skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
