The Manchester East Primary Branch of Teaching Personnel is currently working extremely closely with a well known academic trust by supporting with recruitment requirements.

This Academic trust set up in 2014 oversees the learning and development for 5 primary schools in the area of Rochdale. With an ever growing in take and cohort, this trust is currently in need of experienced level 2 Teaching Assistants who can support with in their KS2 departments in one of their new Primary Schools.

At the start of the academic year, this Rochdale Primary School had 60 new international arrivals enrol. Over this half term rapid success has been made but to make sure these pupils in KS2 keep progressing, the school are requiring your support.

Being a level 2 teaching assistant, you will need to be competent with the national curriculum, especially with Literacy and Numeracy. The full class teachers will be occasionally relying on you to take small focus groups to progress with gaps in learning.

Due to many pupils having English as their second language, there is a strong daily emphasis on phonics meaning you will need to be confident and knowledgeable on Jolly Phonics.
