Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Kirkham)
Full-time | Immediate Start | Minimum 6 Weeks
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Kirkham (PR4). This is a full-time role working with a Year 8 pupil with ASD, starting as soon as possible for a minimum of 6 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 8 pupil with ASD, ensuring they are engaged and supported in their learning.
- Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies.
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.
- Support the pupil’s social and emotional development in both classroom and wider school settings.
Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally ASD.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
