Learning Support Assistants – Flexible Supply (Carmarthenshire)
Location: Secondary Schools & ALN Provisions across Carmarthenshire
Contract: Flexible Supply (Full‑time, Part‑time or Ad‑hoc)

Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work across secondary schools and ALN (Additional Learning Needs) provisions throughout Carmarthenshire. This flexible supply role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting learners with a range of additional needs in both mainstream and specialist settings.
About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with ALN/SEN on a 1:1 or small‑group basis
- Assist with learning, communication, emotional regulation and behaviour
- Build positive, supportive relationships with learners
- Help maintain inclusive, engaging learning environments
- Adapt to different school settings with confidence and professionalism
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children/young people with ALN/SEN, or transferable experience (youth work, care, coaching etc.)
- A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work across multiple schools
- A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
