ALN & Complex Needs Support Assistant
Carmarthenshire | Specialist Provision | ️ Full & Part-Time Available
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Additional Learning Needs? We are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to work in a specialist provision in Pembrokeshire, supporting pupils with moderate to complex needs.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support learners with:
Autism (ASD)
⚡ ADHD
Additional learning difficulties
Emotional and behavioural regulation needs
♿ Physical or complex needs (where applicable)
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Supporting pupils with learning, engagement, and communication
- Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies
- Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
- Working closely with teachers and wider multidisciplinary teams
✅ What we’re looking for:
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
- EWC registration (or willingness to register)
- Experience in care, support work, education, or health & social care (desirable)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with ALN

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
