Learning Support Assistant Required in Teesside

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a number of secondary schools across Teesside, to seek Learning Support Assitants who will be able to offer support to vulnerable students with emotional, social and mental health difficulties.
The primary function of this post is to work collaboratively with the team, supporting students in developing their confidence and self-esteem in order to increase school participation, progress and generally cultivate greater aspirations to achieve. Confidence in behavior management is key.
Those who have experience in the following areas would be of particular interest:
- Youth work
- Support work & residential care
- Learning mentor in secondary environment
- Prison officers/ tutors
- Graduates from relevant disciplines (Psychology, sociology)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
