Learning Support Assistants – Mainstream Secondary School (L4)

Start Date: ASAP
Location: Liverpool (L4 area)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience)

We’re looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a vibrant and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the L4 area of Liverpool. You’ll be part of a passionate team committed to providing high-quality support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they are engaged, confident, and ready to succeed.


Your Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a key part in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment by:

  • Providing individual and small group support to students with a variety of needs, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
  • Supporting students within lessons and around the school, helping them to access the curriculum and develop key life skills.
  • Encouraging independence and building students’ confidence and self-esteem.
  • Adapting resources and strategies to meet each learner’s needs.
  • Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent and effective support.
  • Helping to monitor progress and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) where appropriate.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Caring, patient, and resilient, with a genuine passion for helping young people thrive.
  • Able to build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff alike.
  • Flexible and proactive, with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Experienced in supporting students with SEN (preferred, but not essential).
  • Willing to undertake training and further development as part of the school’s inclusive ethos.

(An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
