Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Alternative Provision (Liverpool)
Location: Liverpool
Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
Contract Type: Part-time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team supporting students in an Alternative Provision setting in Toxteth, Liverpool.

This role is ideal for someone with experience working in similar educational environments, particularly with young people who require additional support to thrive both academically and personally.

The Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with individual students, providing tailored support to help them engage with learning and develop essential life skills. The role involves working collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams to ensure each student receives the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed.

  • Two modern, air-conditioned classrooms
  • A dedicated ICT suite
  • Access to state-of-the-art sports halls, fitness suites, and 3G outdoor pitches
  • Freshly prepared meals cooked in-house in a high-specification kitchen

This Liverpool-based Alternative Provision was recently recognised as the ‘Most Inspirational Alternative Provision by a School’ at the prestigious Educate Awards.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working in alternative provision or similar educational settings
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
