Learning Support Assistant
Manchester

- Full time role, term time only, commencing in the new academic year 19/20
- Competitive rate of pay - up to £1300 per month
- Introduction to a successful and supportive academy in Manchester
- Temporary position in the first instance with the potential to earn a school contract through an introduction by Teaching Personnel
Due to an upcoming vacancy at our client school, Teaching Personnel are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs. Support will be provided on 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups in the classroom and in the schools alternative provision.
The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have previous experience working with young people in an educational setting. They will have a positive approach and will have the ability to motivate students, acting as a positive role model for individuals and groups of students.
Experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs in an educational setting is essential for this role.
Our client school is a thriving secondary school with just under 800 pupils on roll located in South Manchester. The school is just a short drive from the city centre and is easily accessible via public transport and Metrolinks. The school also has a large car park for all staff members. The school has become the local secondary provider of choice at the heart of the community and has been on an amazing journey to improve education for all of their students. The school recently received an excellent Ofsted which commented on its 'Outstanding' features for teaching and pastoral support.
