Teaching Personnel are looking to provide graduates who specialise in one of the Humanities subjects (History, Geography, RE) to one of our clients in the Levenshulme area. This Teaching Assistant role is set to start in September 2023 and will run for the entire academic year, the pay for this role is £1500 - £1700 per month with opportunities to complete a variety of CPD courses available via Teaching Personnel and internally within the school.

Our client has a reputation of supporting graduates looking for their start in a career of teaching, they would like someone who is approachable and has great people skills. You will be interacting everyday with pupils from diverse and multicultural backgrounds, its essential that the successful applicant can connect with people from all walks of life.

In this role you will be working with students with SEN requirements, which is where compassion and patience play a vital role. These learners may have different learning speeds and abilities, its important to adjust your teaching style to accommodate these pupils. These additional learning needs could be a multitude of things such as Dyslexia or supporting a pupil with speech and language difficulties.

The school will provide full training around key school issues, which include Safeguarding, EAL, and SEMH. The applicant will receive consistent support and will also gain the opportunity to cover full scale classes when staff absences occur. There are also a variety of CPD courses available to the successful candidate via Teaching Personnel and internally within the school.

The school has links to the A6 which runs straight into Manchester with secure onsite parking, a train station a short walk away from the school with regular services running to and from Manchester Piccadilly and a bus stop on the school’s doorstep with multiple services running.

Should you be successful, to be considered you must provide a full DBS check and 2 references from former employers. (Character references are accepted if you have not had 2 employers).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
