Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a number of our key client secondary schools in Wigan.

Learning Support Assistant

• Full and part-time Learning Support Assistant - Required in the new year
• Supporting the learning of students who require additional guidance during lessons
• Pay in line with previous experiences (between £1000 - £1200 per month)
• Working within a number of supportive secondary schools in Wigan.

This Learning Support Assistant position is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to make a positive impact on students and their learning within school. It will require the incoming member of staff to be flexible and have an understanding approach when dealing with students who may otherwise be falling behind in their studies or need additional support during class.

The role;

• Working with students on a 1:1 basis supporting them in core subject areas (Maths, English and Science)
• Running small intervention classes with students that are falling behind in class.
• Helping to manage the behaviour of individuals, ensuring that they remain on task and are focused during lessons.
• Working closely with the Heads of Department and class teachers in our client schools to ensure pupils are making constant improvements and working towards their progress targets.
