Vacancy: Learning Support Assistant – Full Time (Term Time Only)

Location: Winchester
Salary: £14.20 per hour

We are looking for a caring and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Winchester, supporting children aged 4–11 with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs.

In this role, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils in the classroom, in small groups, and around the school. You will help children build confidence, communication skills, independence and emotional regulation within a supportive and structured learning environment.

We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds. If you are patient, positive and passionate about helping children succeed, we would love to hear from you—whether you already have experience in education or are looking to move into the sector.

What’s on offer:

Full-time, term time only
£14.20 per hour
Ongoing training and development, including SEND and PRICE training
A supportive team within a well-resourced specialist setting

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An Enhanced DBS check will be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
