Job description

Learning Support Assistant – Special Educational Needs

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a friendly and nurturing SEN school in Ringwood.

Our school provides specialist support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other communication and interaction needs, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The role:

  • Supporting students in the classroom, under the guidance of teachers
  • Assisting with individual learning plans and tailored interventions
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Encouraging students’ independence and confidence

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine interest in supporting children with SEN
  • Is patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic
  • Works well as part of a team and can follow guidance effectively
  • Previous experience in a school or supporting children with SEN

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
