Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly team in an established SEN setting in Knaresborough. The school provides education to young people aged 4-16 with a range of additional needs.

You will work closely with your colleagues to plan and deliver high quality sessions designed to encourage positive interaction and raise self esteem. You will have the ability to promote good practice in a professional and inclusive manner, fully involving yourself in all activities associated with the childcare provision.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be required to plan an appropriate range of activities, preparing resources for social and physical development including art and craft activities, large and small apparatus activities, musical activities and cooking.

The successful applicant will have experience of working with primary aged children in health or social care settings. An Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare is also desirable. You must be energetic, approachable and enthusiastic in order to motivate pupils who are vulnerable and disengaged.
