Learning Support Assistant

Preston PR4

Primary SEN School

Temp to Perm contract

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming Primary and Secondary SEN school in Preston (PR4). This is a long-term temporary position with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to help pupils achieve their learning goals

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a safe, nurturing learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous classroom-based experience (essential)

  • Experience supporting children with SEN preferred

  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach

  • Ability to work as part of a team and use your initiative

  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
