Support Assistant (Temp to Perm) – Alternative Provision

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an Alternative Provision to recruit a dedicated Support Assistant to join their team. This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:

• Supporting children and young people who may present with social, emotional and behavioural needs

• Assisting in the delivery of tailored learning activities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to help pupils engage and achieve

• Promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe, supportive environment

• Working closely with teachers and other professionals to meet individual needs

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational, care or support setting

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
