Learning Support Assistant – Temp to Perm
Location: Preston | Primary & Secondary | SEN School
Contract: Temp to Perm | Full-Time

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Preston, working across both primary and secondary settings.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs.

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.

  • Promote independence, confidence, and inclusion within the classroom.

  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.

  • Help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people in education, SEN, or care settings.

  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
