1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Immediate Start

Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning journey? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a well-established independent school in the Bournemouth area. This is a full-time, fixed-term contrac with the potential for an extension.

The Role:

The Senior School is looking to appoint a full-time 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated support to pupils in Years 7 & 8 with an EHCP. The primary needs include ASD, ADHD, along with associated speech and language difficulties and anxiety.

As part of this role, you will:

• Assist in promoting the learning and personal development of named pupils, enabling them to make the most of the educational and social opportunities available to them.

• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored learning strategies.

• Support classroom activities, ensuring an inclusive and engaging learning experience.

• Provide emotional and social support to help build the students’ confidence and independence.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or SEN setting.

• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
