Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and supportive mainstream secondary school in Poole who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people in their education and eager to make a positive difference in the classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SEN department to provide targeted support to students, helping them to engage with lessons and reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students across a range of subjects
-
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
-
Support students with additional learning needs, promoting independence and confidence
-
Help to create a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment
The ideal candidate will:
-
Have experience working with children or young people (in education, youth work, or similar settings)
-
Be patient, adaptable and enthusiastic about supporting learning
-
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Hold (or be willing to apply for) a Child Only DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
