Behaviour & Learning Support Assistant – SEMH Provision
Blandford Forum
⏰ Full-Time Position
We are working alongside a specialist SEMH provision in Blandford Forum to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant.
The setting supports children and young people aged 5–16 with EHCPs, SEMH needs and pupils accessing alternative provision.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have experience supporting children with additional needs
- Are confident managing challenging behaviour positively
- Can remain calm and consistent under pressure
- Have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
Experience in any of the following is desirable:
- SEMH schools
- SEN settings
- PRUs / Alternative Provision
- Youth work or residential care
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff who thrive in nurturing environments and want to have a lasting impact.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
