Full-Time Teaching Assistants – September Start
Location: Blandford Forum (Main Site) & Poole (Satellite Sites), Dorset
Agency: Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel are working in close partnership with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Blandford Forum, Dorset, to recruit dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants for a September start.

This provision supports secondary-aged pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties (BESD). Due to the need for consistency and strong relationship-building, the school is seeking full-time Teaching Assistants who can commit to providing stability and continuity for its learners.

The Role:

  • Full-time Teaching Assistant positions starting in September
  • Based either at the main site in Blandford Forum or at one of two satellite provisions in Poole
  • Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs
  • Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support both academic and personal development

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young people with additional needs, particularly BESD, is highly desirable
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners and making a difference
  • Ability to commit to a full-time role for continuity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
