The successful candidate will be an important part of a hardworking, dedicated and friendly team of teachers and support staff. He/she will understand the needs of vulnerable children and their families and will demonstrate effective interpersonal skills which will ensure constructive relationships with a wide range of personnel.
The main duties of the post are:
- Day to day management of attendance and punctuality
- With other staff, identify pupils who need extra help to overcome barriers to learning, both inside and outside school
- Assist in the development and implementation of education, behaviour, support and mentoring plans for identified pupils
- Maintain regular contact with families/carers of pupils receiving support and encourage positive family involvement in the pupil's learning and behaviour
- Co-ordinate support and intervention strategies for vulnerable pupils
- Liaise with outside agencies
- Day to day management of a 'safe and happy playground'
- Day to day management of record systems
- Undertake duties relating to child protection, such as attending core group meetings under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
