Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working alongside a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Salford to recruit a dedicated Year 2 Teacher for a full-time position starting in October 2026. Key Responsibilities

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports all pupils
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing targeted interventions where required
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attainment, and engagement
  • Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to maximise pupil outcomes
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in ongoing CPD opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Can adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Is a confident communicator and effective team player
  • Utilises technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Is passionate about making a positive impact on children's educational journeys
