Key Responsibilities
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports all pupils
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing targeted interventions where required
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attainment, and engagement
- Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to maximise pupil outcomes
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in ongoing CPD opportunities
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies
- Can adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Is a confident communicator and effective team player
- Utilises technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Is passionate about making a positive impact on children's educational journeys
