As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in preparing pupils for their transition into Key Stage 2, delivering engaging lessons that challenge, motivate, and inspire young learners.

You will work alongside a dedicated team of staff who are passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 National Curriculum

✅ Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

✅ Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, providing effective feedback

✅ Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils

✅ Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

✅ Collaborate with support staff and senior leaders to drive pupil achievement

✅ Contribute to wider school initiatives and ongoing professional development

The Ideal Candidate

✔ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

✔ Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2

✔ Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

✔ Possesses strong knowledge of the National Curriculum

✔ Can effectively support pupils with a range of learning needs

✔ Uses technology confidently to enhance teaching and learning

✔ Is a proactive team player with excellent communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
