The Role

As the Year 2 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Creating an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement
• Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes
• Adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff to maximise pupil success
• Contributing positively to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2
• Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom practice
• Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Be dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• Be confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs
• Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a positive approach to the classroom
