Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Year 2 Teacher Opportunity

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Wythenshawe to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher for a full-time position starting in November 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school community and play a key role in pupils' development during an important stage of their educational journey. The successful candidate will help children build confidence, independence, and a love of learning while supporting them to achieve their full potential within Key Stage 1.

The Role

As the Year 2 Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons that inspire young learners.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality learning opportunities in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, using assessment data to inform teaching and raise attainment.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to achieve the best outcomes for children.
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community and uphold the school's values and vision.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Has a sound understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment practices.
  • Is committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress.
  • Possesses excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and brings enthusiasm to the classroom.
  • Is confident using technology to support teaching and learning.
