KS1 Class Teacher (Mixed Year 1/2) - BL3, Bolton

Full-Time | Long-Term Role | January Start

Are you an experienced KS1 teacher looking for a new opportunity from January? We are working with a welcoming primary school in the BL3 area of Bolton seeking a confident and enthusiastic teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.

This exciting opportunity is based within a mixed Year 1/2 class and would suit a dedicated practitioner with a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and a proven track record of delivering high-quality phonics teaching.

The Role

• Full-time class teacher position within a mixed Year 1/2 class
• Long-term placement starting in January
• Planning, preparation, assessment and delivery of engaging lessons
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Delivering high-quality phonics interventions and whole-class teaching
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure excellent outcomes for all pupils

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has recent and substantial experience teaching within KS1
• Confident delivering phonics and supporting early reading development
• Previous phonics training is essential
• Experience with Read Write Inc. is desirable, although teachers with strong phonics expertise from other recognised schemes are encouraged to apply
• Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for pupil achievement
• Passionate about helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning
