Learning Mentor/ Pastoral Support Worker Required in Salford

Are you looking for a new opportunity to make a real difference for children in mainstream Primary School access a full and quality Education?

If so a mainstream primary school located in the Bolton area, which is only a short drive from the M61, is currently looking to appoint a learning mentor to support pupils with specific behavioural needs. The role will include supporting both pupils and their families, in order to overcome any barriers to learning that they may face, liaising with a range of agencies, including safeguarding professionals. The school is therefore looking for someone who can take a patient, caring and nurturing approach to a range of situations, understand the needs of each individual and considering the range of backgrounds that the pupils come from.

Requirements:

  • A passionate, engaging and motivated personality
  • Be a strong communicator and be able to work well as part of a team.
  • Transferable skills i.e sports, art, and academic
  • At least 5 A-C GCSE grades
  • Experience working/volunteering with children
  • Ambition for career development
  • High expectations for all students and the determination to help all children succeed
  • The willingness to immerse themselves in all aspects of the school, extra curricular etc
