Preparing for the KS2 SATs in May

Taking groups of 4/5 children in the Year 6 class

10 weeks intensive Reading, Writing and Maths Intervention

A school, located just outside of the centre of Preston, have enquired about the potential of Teaching Personnel sourcing a Y6 SATs intervention teacher who can deliver intensive Maths, Reading and Writing sessions in preparation for the assessments in May. The role will be essentially to work in partnership with the Year 6 teacher to plan a 10 week programme to ensure all the children make the progress needed to hit their expected grades. The Head teacher is keen to see a couple of potential candidates as a way to compare their skill set, experience and personality. She noted that the perfect candidate would be someone who could 'hit the ground running' have plenty of SATs or Y6 experience as well as be able to work on 'their own initiative'. The school is currently graded by Ofsted as GOOD, and during a recent visit, i can add the school is very calm and quiet despite having a number of challenging children. The Head teacher has clear expectations for academic progress & behaviour and this has been followed correctly by all her staff. The above specified role will start as early as next week, and will continue at least until the start of the SATs.

Essentially, the applying teacher will have KS2 experience; particularly in Year 6 and must hold Qualified Teacher Status. You must have the ability to work flexibly with a variety of abilities ranging from Y3-Y6 expected.

If you are interested in the above role then please do not hesitate to contact me in the office on 01772 842154 or email me your up to date CV
