KS1 Teacher
Job description
This fantastic school in Shaftesbury provides a high-quality education for young people from 5 to 19 with special educational needs (Autism and SEMH). They want their education to provide lifelong memories of success and enjoyment of education and hope to be the region’s leading SEND school, underpinned by teaching excellence, compassion and understanding for every student, every day.
As a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) teacher in this school , you will provide education and guidance to small class of students within EYFS or KS1. You will plan, design and deliver an innovative curriculum based on the complex needs of the learners. You will have the support of Teaching Assistants within the class who will work under your direction.
In order to be considered for this role, we are looking for the following:
- Teachers with QTS, ECT’s will be considered
- It would be beneficial for you to have experience working with SEN/SEMH but this is not essential if you understand how SEMH impacts students learnings
- The ability to differentiate lesson plans to suit all student needs
- A professional attitude with a solution focused approach
- Good behaviour management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
