Maternity cover vacancy from September 2020 to join a diverse Primary school in OL11 Due to a maternity leave within their staff team, our partner school in the heart of Rochdale have a temporary vacancy from September 2020 for a KS1 teacher. Initially temporary until May 2021 with the opportunity to extend for the full academic year. This is a larger than average school with two classes in each year group, therefore the position is available to practitioners for the Year 1 or 2 class. You’ll work closely with the parallel teacher to plan and deliver creative lessons that engage your pupils, behaviour in school is on the whole good and the leadership team are striving for outstanding in this area upon the next inspection. Situated in Rochdale, the school is close to the town centre via Manchester road, with good public transport links to the surrounding areas. The number of children on-roll eligible for free school meals is above average, as is the number of children with English as an additional or second language, experience in a similar school is desirable but not essential for applicants.
