KS1 Level 2 Teaching Assistant Required in the Wigan area

Level 2 KS1 Teaching Assistant required.

Grade 5 - £11,352 - £13,331 per annum. £9.50 - £11.15 per hour.

35 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year.

Do you hold a Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent? Do you have a real passion for making a difference in pupil's lives? Are you experienced working across KS1?

If so an average sized primary school located in the Platt Bridge area of Wigan, just off Warrington Road and the A58, is currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic, engaging and passionate teaching assistant to work within their KS1 setting. The role will be a full time position, 35 hours a week and will be to start from Easter 2019. The school has been described as having a real family feel to it and being central to supporting the wider community. The school is well resourced both inside and out, aiming to provide the best support for its pupils and staff, in order to provide all with the skills that they need in order to achieve their full potential.

In order to be successful you will need to:

  • Have a real passion to make a difference in pupil's lives.
  • Have previous experience of working across a KS1 setting.
  • Have a strong knowledge of phonics.
  • Be a strong communicator and be able to work as part of a team.
  • Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Have a good level of maths and English.
  • Have experience supporting pupils on a full class, small group and 1:1 basis.
  • Be adaptable and flexible.
