Are you a fully qualified teacher with QTS interested in securing a new role?
We’re seeking caring, enthusiastic, and professional teachers to support children with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs in local Portsmouth schools.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference with students. Teachers with experience in the below areas will often find that their skillset transfers well into supporting pupils within an SEMH setting:

  • Sports coaching
  • Psychology or Criminology
  • Care and support roles
  • ️Outdoor or fitness coaching
  • Creative and arts fields

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher with QTS
  • Previous experience working with children who have Social Emotional Mental Health needs
  • Reliable, resilient and commited to the role
  • ️Strong classroom management and teaching skills
  • Understanding of trauma-informed approaches to teaching
  • Passionate about encouraging potential and improving development

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet pupils’ needs
• Support students’ academic and personal development
• Lead whole-class, small group, and 1:1 learning
• Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
• Support wellbeing, social development, and SEN & SEMH needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
