Key Stage 1 Teacher – Wigan

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Wigan to recruit a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher for a full-time, long-term role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to join a supportive team and make a real difference in the early stages of a child's learning journey.

Salary: Pay-To-Scale (Dependant on Experience)

Start Date: September 2025

The Role:

As the KS1 Class Teacher, you will:

  • Take full responsibility for delivering and assessing the KS1 curriculum.
  • Create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure pupil success.
  • Promote positive behaviour and uphold school values.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Has recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics (ideally Letters and Sounds or Little Wandle).
  • Committed to creating a positive learning experience.
  • Enthusiastic, organised and able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
