Job Position: Year 5 Teacher

Start Date: September 2025

Pay Rate: £130 - £180 per day

Location: Wigan, WN4

Contract: Full time, Temporary Introduction with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school just off the A58 in Ashton-In-Makerfield who are looking for a Year 5 Teacher to start in September. Your role will involve providing engaging lessons and ensuring that each child is supported in their learning journey.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Child Workforce DBS on the update service.
  • Have secure knowledge of the National Curriculum and the assessments that link to this.
  • Experience working with Key Stage 2 students, particularly Year 5.
  • Be enthusiastic and have a hands on approach to helping pupils achieve their goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents and colleagues.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
