Intervention Teacher - Rochdale

Are you an inspirational Teacher looking for flexible work around Rochdale?

Teaching Personnel are seeking an Intervention Teacher to support a number of our partner secondary schools around Rochdale with the transition of the new intake of students in September 2019. This is a fantastic opportunity for prospective candidates looking for a flexible working schedule, or for those wanting a role without the responsibility of marking.

  • Intervention Teacher required from September 2019
  • Supporting a number of secondary schools around Rochdale
  • Flexible working schedule available
  • Transition and nature work supporting new intake of pupils
  • Earn up to £30 an hour

Due to an increase in the needs of many of our partner schools throughout both the Oldham and Rochdale area, Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an Intervention Teacher to primarily work across the core subjects. Whilst working as an Intervention Tutor for Teaching Personnel, the successful candidate can expect flexibility in both times and places of Intervention, dependent on the needs of the students and schools. The location and hours of the tuition and intervention sessions are flexible, and successful candidates can design their own schedule to suit their needs.

As an Intervention Tutor for Teaching Personnel, the incoming Intervention Tutor will be assigned to an individual student and/or small groups of students within one of our partner schools and will be expected to support in raising attainment as well as encouraging academic achievement. They will be expected to plan and deliver engaging and motivating Intervention sessions, whilst monitoring and tracking the progress of the student(s) and relaying the information back to a designated member of staff at the school.

Prospective applicants to this role:

  • Should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualifications
  • Will have access to CPD sessions throughout the academic year
  • Be able to quickly build rapport with a range of students regardless of background and ability

If you would like to apply for this post as an Intervention Teacher, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
