Full-time Inclusion Manager required for large secondary school situated in Salford.

Under the guidance and management of the Executive Board of Governors, our client secondary school are in the process of recruiting and co-ordinating a resilient Inclusion Manager to join their Pastoral team at the earliest possible opportunity. This position is a full-time role, and is an open gap within the school. Following an initial temporary trial period, there will be the opportunity to secure a permanent contract with the school.

The incoming Inclusion Manager will be working in collaboration with a large Pastoral team and SEN Co-Ordinator to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 that are at risk of exclusion, and require additional guidance throughout their school experience.

The successful Inclusion Manager will be situated within the dedicated facility at school and will be required to manage other staff member's timetables to ensure all pupils have the required support in place to succeed.

  • Full-time Inclusion Manager required, start date - ASAP
  • Term time only
  • Must have previous experience supporting hard to reach young people and challenging behaviour within a school or educational setting.
  • Opportunity to work directly with pupils and help overcome barriers to learning.
  • Earn up to £1500 per month.

The incoming Inclusion Manager will be working within the Alternative Provisions and Inclusion Centre based in the school grounds. The support provisions boast newly refurbished classrooms and ICT rooms with access to extra-curricular activities and placements. All staff both onsite within the provisions in place and within the main school work cohesively in order to enrich the experiences and address the challenges of identified pupils.

The responsibilities for the successful Inclusion Mentor will include but may not be limited to;

  • Engage pupils and be a first response for each individual child everyday.
  • Patrol the provision and classrooms in order to ensure pupils are settles in their appropriate classes.
  • Regularly liaise with parents and SLT about individual pupil behaviour to ensure effective lines of communication between school and home.
  • Manage and monitor support and investigate/report poor behaviour.

Located in the Worsley region of Salford this growing Secondary school has just over 800 pupils on roll the school is situated across two grounds. It is easily accessible via the M60/ A580 (East Lancashire Road) as well as the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. There are also numerous public transport links readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
