ICT Teacher in Arundel
Secondary SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) School

Teaching Personnel work with a dynamic and inclusive secondary SEMH school dedicated to providing high-quality education and support to students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges. The school fosters a nurturing environment where every student is empowered to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally. We are seeking a passionate and innovative ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and supporting students with SEMH needs, coupled with a strong knowledge of the ICT curriculum and supporting secondary age pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging ICT lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH challenges.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
  • Incorporate a variety of teaching strategies and resources to effectively convey ICT concepts and skills.
  • Support children in an inclusive, nurturing and understanding way.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Teacher degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification is desirable).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching certification.
  • Experience teaching ICT to secondary students, preferably in a SEMH or special education setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies for supporting students with diverse learning requirements.
  • Proficiency in a range of ICT tools, software, and programming languages.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
