About the School

I have a school seeking ICT and Computing teachers to join their vibrant and diverse learning community. The mixed and non-selective attitude provides a fantastic atmosphere where cultural and linguistic diversity leads to energetic debates. By serving the community the students learn respect in a safe and caring environment.

The school aims to build student confidence and provide students with the qualifications needed to build a future at university or elsewhere. There is an expectation of high commitment from students, staff and parents to ensure the high teaching standards are continued.

Ofsted have rated the school as "good" as leaders and governors have worked to raise student achievement.

Ofsted were quote saying:

"Teachers know their students well and typically plan suitable activities to develop knowledge and understanding,"

"Students' spiritual, moral, social and cultural skills are well developed."

The high quality teaching at the school means the curriculum meets the needs of students of all abilities.

About the role

ICT and Computing

Ages 11-16 (KS3-5)

5 days a week

Temporary role with the possibility to take a permanent role

Creating creative and comprehensive lessons in line with the National Curriculum

The incoming teacher will be expected to participate in the community atmosphere and follow the main values of the school of commitment and conduct

There will be an expectation to create lesson plans and mark the student's work as well as working with students who may struggle with the material.

Location

The school is accessible via Hayes & Harlington station (20 minute walk).

Requirements

A UK recognised teaching qualification (BSc QTS, CERT ED, PGCE)

Experience teaching IT or Computing at secondary school (from KS3-KS4)

A positive and can do attitude
