Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant Needed in Wilmslow!

Are you a passionate Humanities graduate eager to begin your career in education? Teaching Personnel is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a committed individual to join an Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Wilmslow as a Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant.

Role Overview: As a full-time Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting the teaching and learning of Humanities subjects within the school. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Assisting the Humanities department in delivering engaging and informative lessons to students aged 11-16, working closely with experienced teachers.
  • Providing targeted support to students who may require assistance with their understanding of History, Geography, Religious Studies, or related subjects.
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement innovative educational resources and activities tailored to the needs of individual students or small groups.
  • Supporting students with their research, projects, and exam preparation, helping to foster their critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Cultivating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and empowered to explore the complexities of the humanities.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Humanities, History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to students.
  • Enthusiasm for education and a genuine desire to inspire a passion for the humanities in young learners.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
