We are actively seeking a motivated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant who can provide essential support to students with diverse needs, including SEN, and those who need extra help to catch up academically.
Position Overview:
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering personalized assistance to students facing various challenges. Working closely with our experienced teaching staff, you will contribute to creating a supportive atmosphere where every student can thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Offer one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN and those falling behind academically.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
- Provide academic and emotional support to help students build self-esteem and resilience.
- Adapt teaching materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
- Monitor student progress and communicate insights to teachers and parents.
- Create an engaging and motivating atmosphere for learning.
- Contribute to the preparation and organization of educational resources.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field.
- A genuine passion for psychology and education and a commitment to helping students with SEN and diverse needs succeed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and an encouraging approach to teaching.
- Strong organizational abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Prior experience working with children, young people, or individuals with SEN is advantageous but not mandatory.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
