Teacher of History (Northampton)
Are you an experienced teacher of Geography seeking a new position in Northamptonshire? I am currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school who is seeking a teacher of History to join them in September 2019. The school are part of a local multi-academy trust who is dedicated to supporting staff and ensuring a respectful and resilient culture is created. Rated 'Good' by Ofsted in their most recent inspection, the school is high achieving and an inspiring learning environment for all. Staff members at the school are immensely proud of the inclusive ethos and the positive relationships maintained with parents and the local community. There is a shared belief that a vibrant and exciting learning atmosphere is present at the school, and that it is the best possible place for students to achieve success inside and outside of the classroom. The selected applicant will be responsible for teaching History lessons to key stage 3 and key stage 4 groups. You will be part of a welcoming and encouraging department who are dedicated to ensuring students have outstanding learning experiences. This position is likely to be ongoing until the end of the year.
You will be ideal for this role if you:
- Are passionate and enthusiastic about History
- Have excellent behaviour management skills
- Are experienced teaching History to KS3/KS4 students (NQT's and Unqualified teachers are welcome to apply)
- Are capable of closely monitoring student results and performance to ensure progress is made
