1:1 Behaviour Support & Sports Coach

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to pupil with additional learning needs within a specialist SEN setting.

This is a rewarding role which involves working closely with a student who requires consistent, patient, and nurturing support to help them engage positively with learning, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential.

Your Responsibilities

-          Provide 1:1 support to a student with additional behavioural needs

-          Build a positive and professional relationship based on trust and consistency

-          Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

-          Use sports, physical activities, and students interests to engage and motivate learning

-          Work closely with teachers and SEN professionals to support student progress

We are looking for

-          Sports coaches, PE graduates, athletes, personal trainers or individuals with mentoring experience

-          Interest in sports (football, basketball, rugby, netball, tennis etc)

-          Activity-lead

-          Confident under pressure

-          A resilient, patient and positive attitude

-          Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential

Requirements

-          Eligible to work in the UK

-          Over the age of 18

-          Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration

-          Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the update service (Teaching Personnel will help you obtain this!)

-          Level 2 Safeguarding training (provided)

-          At least two professional references covering a 24-month period
