Our client secondary school located in the heart of Warrington is looking to recruit a History teacher to join their History department, starting at the beginning of the new academic year 2019/2020. This is an open vacancy whereby the school are looking for an effective classroom practitioner who is due to be available for the Autumn term from September to December 2019. The successfully appointed teacher of History is therefore required to start with this Warrington based school on Monday 9th September, teaching up to GCSE level.

Highlights of this History teaching role:

  • Full time History teacher required starting 9th September 2019
  • Duration: 1 term in the first instance
  • Open vacancy at this central Warrington based school where the successful History teacher has the opportunity to progress onto a school based contract
  • Pay ranging between £500 - £750 per week depending on payscale and experience
  • Payrolled through Teaching Personnel for the duration of the term
  • CPD opportunities direct with this highly supportive secondary school and access to Teaching Personnel's CPD courses

The successful Historian will be required on a full time basis and will be expected to undertake planning and marking alongside any further departmental responsibilities such as parents evenings. This secondary school is a relatively small sized school where students are well known to all staff and there is a family feel in and around school. The successful History teacher should therefore be willing to fully immerse themselves in school life and become a part of this collaborative team of teachers.

The successful History teacher should be keen on taking on all planning and marking responsibilities as part of this longer term teaching position. This school has a good reputation within the Warrington LEA but the school still places great emphasis on effective and strong behaviour management ensuring all students are engaged within lessons at all time. Zero tolerance is the policy within this supportive secondary school, with students' progress and attainment being at the forefront of all learning.

The school is situated in the heart of Warrington, making it very easy to commute to for History teachers who are able to drive or those who travel by public transport. The school is situated near to the M56 and M6 motorway networks as well as being a short distance from the central train station.
