History Teacher in Stockport – Full-Time Temporary role

 

One of Teaching Personnel’s client schools based within the Stockport region of South Manchester require a History teacher for a 6 week fixed term contract from after Easter until the May half-term. The school require somebody who can teach the subject to both KS3 and KS4 (GCSE Level). The role would involve some planning and marking for each Key Stage as well as the use of both formative and summative assessments. Any relevant student information/data will need to be relayed to the Head of Department.

The school is located close to public transport links and is also easily reachable via car as it is situated close to a main road on the approach road into Manchester City Centre. The school has a very supportive SLT department and boast excellent facilities throughout. The Humanities department is quite large and offers plenty of opportunity for collaboration between subjects.

  • Pay: £153 - £238 per day depending on experience.
  • Full-Time Monday to Friday until May half-term.
  • School based in Stockport with easy links into Manchester.
  • Must have QTS in History.
  • Must have experience of delivering to GCSE level before.

This would be the ideal role for both ECT’s and more experienced teachers looking to gain valuable experience of working within a large Humanities department. This role would suit anybody looking for temporary work to fit in around their long-term schedule. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
