This school supports students who have found mainstream education challenging, providing tailored support to help them thrive in a practical and nurturing environment.
About the Role:
As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting students across Key Stage 3 and 4, helping them overcome barriers to learning. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support in both practical and academic areas, including core subjects such as English and Maths. Support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons to small groups of students.
-
Provide targeted academic and emotional support to students with additional needs.
-
Assist students in developing their English and Maths skills.
-
Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
-
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to adapt lessons and activities.
-
Build trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress.
Ideal Candidate:
-
Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN), is highly desirable.
-
Confident in supporting learning across various subjects, including English and Maths.
-
Patient, empathetic, and capable of building strong, positive relationships with students.
-
Flexible, reliable, and committed to supporting the educational and personal development of students.
-
Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and making a genuine impact in a dynamic school environment.
