Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Salford to recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a September start.

This welcoming school is committed to helping every pupil thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. They are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HLTA who is passionate about making a positive impact on children's learning and development.

The Opportunity

As a HLTA, you will work closely with teachers and school staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences across the primary age range. You will support whole-class learning, lead small group and one-to-one interventions, and help ensure all pupils have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Key Duties

  • Support teachers with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Lead targeted interventions for individuals and small groups to boost progress and attainment
  • Provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND and EAL learners
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Encourage pupils' social, emotional, and personal development
  • Prepare classroom resources and assist with monitoring pupil progress
  • Build effective relationships with staff, parents, and carers
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including events and extracurricular activities

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar school-based role
  • An HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practices
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, nurturing, and adaptable approach
  • Proven behaviour management skills
  • A commitment to inclusive education and supporting the individual needs of all learners
