Role
Teaching Personnel are currently in partnership with a mainstream 3 form entry Primary School in Leeds, Roundhay (LS8) who are looking for a qualified / experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time permanent post in September 2018. The role will involve covering classes across school from EYFS - Year 6 on a daily basis to release teachers for PPA (planning) time, cover courses and sickness, therefore candidates applying for this role must have previous experience leading a full class.
Ideal candidate
The school are looking for a:
- Qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Cover Supervisor
- Previous experience leading a full class of pupils
- Able to support classes from EYFS - Year 6 and deal with pupils with additional needs
- Good behaviour management skills
- Available full-time

School
The school received 'Good' at its last Ofsted in 2015 and are on there way to Outstanding. The school is a larger than average sized Primary School with approximately 521 pupils on roll. The school have a higher than average number of pupils who are new to England / English and therefore are looking for a candidate who has a patient and approachable attitude. The school run a whole school meeting after school on a Wednesday which everyone is required to attend to.
Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a variety of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, such as; Team Teach, Educare, Creative Education, and Leeds Trinity University.
These partners deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities to you, covering areas such as; Accredited Team Teach, Understanding and Supporting Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, An Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disability, Effective Adult Learning Support, Implications for Challenging Behaviour, Meeting the Emotional, Social and Mental Health Needs of Children and Young People, Differentiation, Data Handling, Assessment for Learning, Planning for Progression, Prevent Duty, Read Write Inc. and Child Protection in Education. In addition to this we work alongside many leaders of education and have our own ex-head teacher that provides candidates with bespoke, high-quality training. The CPD on offer will assist with your personal and career development, making you the most highly sought candidates in the market.
