Are you a Maths, English or Science Graduate looking for a new role as a Teaching Assistant? Are you available from September 2019?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside Secondary Schools in Wigan, Bolton, Bury and Salford to recruit Graduate Teaching Assistants for September 2019.

• Full-time and part-time Teaching Assistant roles available for September 2019 until the end of the academic year (July 2020)
• Must hold be an English, Maths or Science graduate or be coming towards the end of your degree
• Opportunity to gain classroom setting experience before applying for a teacher training programme
• Provide 1:1 tuition and small group interventions to pupils with ranging abilities
• Support students aged 11-16 alongside class teachers
• Opportunity to cover pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Earn up to £300 per week, depending on previous experience

As a Teaching Assistant within our client schools, responsibilities will include:

• Working 1:1 with identified pupils that require additional support within subjects such as English, Maths or Science
• Supporting the class teacher and covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher
• Delivering intervention sessions to raise pupil attainment
• Possibility of supporting students with learning difficulties and pupils who display challenging behaviour
• Promoting positive behaviour management

To be considered for this role, potential candidates must hold an English, Maths or Science or be coming towards the end of their degree. Experience working within a educational setting with children and young people is also desirable.

Our client schools are located across Bury, Bolton, Wigan and Salford and can be accessed from all surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. For candidates who do not have their own transportation, there are several links to public transportation from areas surrounding Manchester.
