Graduate Teaching Assistant - Oldham

Are you a recent graduate looking to work to work at a secondary school in Oldham?

Teaching Personnel, the market leader of education recruitment, are currently working alongside one of our partner secondary schools in Oldham who are looking for a recent graduate to join their team of support staff as a Teaching Assistant from Easter 2019. This exciting role is initially until the end of the academic year but due to a strong relationship with the school, there is a strong possibility of earning a permanent contract.

  • 'Outstanding' school in Oldham
  • Earn between £270-£325 per week

Our partner secondary school is a mixed comprehensive for 11- to 16-year-olds located in the Chadderton area of Oldham, North Manchester. The state of the art school building which was opened in 2008 is located just a short drive from the M60 motorway, as well as being located close to several local bus routes. In their most recent Ofsted inspection they were graded 'Outstanding' with the inspectors identifying several strengths including student progress, student behaviour and leadership.

Working as a Teaching Assistant at our partner secondary school, you will be supporting a number of students during their lessons that have a range of complex needs. These Special Educational Needs range from behavioural complexities to physical disabilities and Mental Health issues including SEMH. The role will involve 1:1 support as well as potentially supporting students in small group scenarios, and potentially delivering pre-planned work on behalf of the class teacher.
